A new beginning

A new beginning is my first short animation movie which I made to learn about 3-modelling, texturing, lighting, animation, compositing and much, much more.

This movie is based on the Wish, originally written by Roald Dahl, and is an adaptation for a 17th century story. In this movie, a boy is sad because of his lost dog. While crying, he suddenly sees his dog at the end of his doorstep, but then the area between him and the dog changes. Only after crossing this area and falling into the hands of a snake, the boy awakes and finds a brand new dog just a few inches from his head.

This movie was created for a study projected in which I learned to edit movies, create characters in Maya 3D and use concept art and storyboarding to create scenes.
